It came all of a sudden. When I got up from the sofa, I felt dizzy and sick as if everything was spinning around. I felt even worse after I took a nap. Then my head ached a lot and I began to vomit when I stood up. That was a kind of feeling only when people got drunk. Then I went to the hospital and had a CT examination. Fortunately, there was nothing wrong with my brain and the doctor said the symptom was probably caused by too much pressure and tiredness. So what I should do now is try to put everything behind for a little while and find more pleasure from work. Besides, I guess I really need to take some exercise every week and find ways to relax. That really matters.

<trackback:ping>http://www.jxenglish.com/blog/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=52&key=380f1962</trackback:ping>

Money really matters

I have been feeling somewhat worried and frustrated since the moment I got the news that my parents' house back at home would be rebuilt. I have left my hometown for about ten years and some scenes back at home begin to become misty, but everything about the house I used to live in is still clear to me. The other day some government officials checked the house and confirmed that it was too old and dangerous to live in. So the house has to be rebuilt and my parents can get some financial support from the government. I assume it's a pretty good thing. But the major problem is that we have to totally rebuilt it on our own within just two months, otherwise, we will not be able to get the money from the government. Money is a big problem as the money from the government can only cover a small part of what is needed to build a two-story house. Two-story houses with the same appearance and design are said to be what is so-called "New Village of New Countryside". Besides, with the unconvenient traffic and months of drought, it's almost impossible to build a new house within just two months.
......

<trackback:ping>http://www.jxenglish.com/blog/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=51&key=c63268bc</trackback:ping>

<trackback:ping>http://www.jxenglish.com/blog/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=50&key=4785eb5f</trackback:ping>

<trackback:ping>http://www.jxenglish.com/blog/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=49&key=a6fbf569</trackback:ping>

<trackback:ping>http://www.jxenglish.com/blog/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=48&key=d7b88e66</trackback:ping>

<trackback:ping>http://www.jxenglish.com/blog/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=47&key=3296ae22</trackback:ping>

A small success-be patient for a few days

I am saying this as I just read something that touched my heart. You know this week is a very special one, the English week, which is only held once a year. So I suppose this is a precious opportunity for me to talk to you about the English language. Well if you have no passion for English or if you think what I’m saying is just bullshit, never mind and just let it go. I am not expecting a few words will change something. But one thing is for sure, the English language is important indeed. If you don’t try, you will surely miss the good part of the world. Maybe some of you will think China is getting bigger and more powerful, so why it should be us to try to learn English hard to go to western countries to talk to foreign people, why it shouldn’t be the foreign people to learn Chinese well to come to China to talk to us? Or what’s the good point with a good command of English since I will not use it anytime and anywhere in the future. Well, that’s a good question and that’s also reasonable. I’m sorry that I can’t come up with a good answer to the question. But we can approach it another way. Let’s just take a look at the current world situation. You know, Confucious as well as the Chinese language is becoming more popular in some western countries because some western people have realized the importance of learning about the Chinese language and culture as well if they want to do business or survive in China.

<trackback:ping>http://www.jxenglish.com/blog/cmd.asp?act=tb&id=45&key=b18f2bb2</trackback:ping>
