(Becca is sweeping the floor in The Net Café.)
Aaron: Becca, you’ve swept the floor three times. Sit down!
Becca: I can’t. I’m too nervous.
Aaron: The new manager won’t be here for another hour.
Becca: Well, he might be early. I want everything to look perfect.
Aaron: Everything to look perfect. But we don’t have any customers.
Becca: You’re right! We need some. We want the Café to look successful.
Aaron: OK, I’ll go find some customers.
Conversation B
(Aaron comes back with Claire and Nick.)
Aaron: Here are your customers! They were talking to Amber in the Stop ‘n’ Shop.
Claire: We’re glad to help. I need to check my e-mail anyway.
Nick: And I can play computer games.
Becca: Thanks, you two.
(Claire and Nick sit down at computers.)
Aaron: Do you think the new manager will chang anything?
Becca: He might.
Aaron: He shouldn’t change too much. You’ve done a good job managing the place.
Becca: Thanks, Aaron.
Nick: Yeah! We like The Net Café just like it is!
